At the age of 18, she acknowledged her true self and took the bold step. She was able to transition completely at the age of 21, with top and bottom surgeries.

Eden said: “My modeling career started before I transitioned – I was in Vogue when I was 16. It was really strange for me modeling before I transitioned because my body wasn’t fully there. Now that I’m doing it, I feel amazing.”

To her, the medical transition was the best thing she has done to date. The genuineness she now feels about herself, her body, mind and soul gives her ultimate happiness.

Throughout her journey, the trans model has stayed true to herself. Eden knows she is a woman, no matter what people call her!

Now, the gorgeous trans model shares her experiences on YouTube and Instagram. She looks back at the past year of her life and feels extremely grateful.

She said: “The scariest part of my transition was – I have to be honest – nothing at this point. I mean I’m not afraid of anything. It was my body and my life. Once I turned 18 I basically made it my mission to accomplish every dream I ever had.’

“So I was not afraid of anything. I wanted the pain, I wanted the surgeries, I wanted everything, I wanted the hate. I wanted it all to come because I know that was the price I had to pay to be the woman I am.”

She took her story to social media to become a role model. The trans model’s entire purpose behind the channel was to impact other people’s lives.

Eden grew up in a conservative home as a Jehovah’s Witness and although her family was initially unsure of her transition, now they are all fully in support of her decision.

Her family didn’t have a positive approach towards her decision, as she had expected. But she gave it time and things became much more pleasant.

Eden’s mum Lilly Barraza said: “For me at the beginning, it was a shock. I felt very strange but now i’m pleased because I see that she is happy and if she is happy, then I am happy too.”

The roller coaster ride became just a part of the fairy tale when the Barbie met her Ken, Malik McBride. She met him at the restaurant he worked at and they got along. Their one-year journey has been all hearts and flowers but telling Malik about her transition was surely one daunting experience.

Malik said: “I had found out Eden was trans right before our second date, my initial reaction was ‘wait, what?!’

“Mainly because I already had a twisted idea of people who are trans. Probably for about 15 minutes, I was like ‘wait, whoa’, but after a while I was fine.

“I feel like overall, I have the perfect package. I could not ask for a better woman in my life.”

It may seem easy now but we cannot ignore the painful phases she has endured.

Eden said: “I’m not just transgender, I’m a normal 21-year-old woman who has to deal with a lot of theory stuff. There’s a lot to me than being trans.”

Eden has modeled for Bellami hair products and walked for Marco Marco’s shows but her main focus is her position as a social media influencer and YouTuber.
