The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter, Princess Charlotte will start school next week at Prince George’s school in Battersea.
Kate Middleton is to take her 4-year-old daughter to her first day at school next Thursday. Princess Charlotte will join St Thomas’ in Battersea which is located South London.
Kensington Palace confirmed that the young royal would join the same institution as her brother, Prince George. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will accompany the princess at the £18,000-a-year school next week.
Meanwhile, the 6-year-old Prince, would be starting his third semester at the private institute.
A spokesperson from the royal palace confirmed the news. “Princess Charlotte, accompanied by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George, will attend her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea on Thursday 5th September,” the spokesperson stated.
Middleton previously missed out her son’s big day back in 2017. The Duchess of Cambridge was unable to attend Prince George’s first day due to morning sickness. She was pregnant with her third child, Prince Louis at the time.
However, a spokesperson revealed that Prince William would take his son to school. “Unfortunately the Duchess of Cambridge remains unwell, and will not be able to accompany Prince George on his first day of school.” The rep said.
The statement continued, “The Duke of Cambridge will drop off Prince George this morning as planned.”
Princess Charlotte will be called referred to as ‘Charlotte Cambridge’ by her classmates and teachers. Kate Middleton is reportedly said that the royal princess is ‘very excited to join her big brother’ for school.
The headmaster at Thoma’s, Simon O’Malley, stated in May, “We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea.”
He continued, “We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September.” The institute identifies itself as a Christian school which is open to children of all faiths. The school believes in ‘praise as the greatest motivator’.
Good Luck to Princess Charlotte for her big day!
