Pakistani cricketer, Imad Wasim has found himself in the middle of a scandal. An Afghani woman took it to social media, accusing him of playing her. She claims he dated her for a month, promised to marry her and then simply left her.
28-year-old Imad Wasim is a part of the national cricket team of Pakistan. He made his international career debut in July 2015 against Sri Lanka. He plays the role of an ‘all-rounder’ in the team.
So far, the biggest highlight of his career has been Champions Trophy 2017 which was won by Pakistan, after defeating India in the final. But this scandal has left his career in jeopardy.
The Afghani woman had blurred her face in the pictures she had previously posted on Facebook. The woman said she wanted to protect her identity and kept it a secret. But today, she went all bold, revealing Imad Wasim and her pictures together.
In one of the shared pictures, both of them lay on what seems like a hotel bed, posing for a picture. Another one was taken in a park.
A video was posted as well, in which Imad smiles at the camera as she records the four-second story on her phone.
According to the words of a local Pakistani journalist, the woman lives in Netherlands and met Imad on Instagram.
She said: “He flew to London, booked a hotel for three days and asked her to come stay with him.”
She even posted bill receipts of the hotel they had stayed in. However, the Pakistani cricketer has denied all allegations. He justified himself saying that anyone can forge such pictures using Photoshop and post them to ‘attack’ his reputation.
In response to which, the girl said, “It was disturbing to hear that. We did spend time together. You can’t Photoshop a video and in the video you can see clearly it’s him and me.”
Even though the Pakistani cricketer considers every part of the viral scandal ‘rubbish’, the woman says she will not be turned down easily. She wants her story to serve as a warning for other women to be aware of such ‘womanizers’.
