Sarah Abouelkhair is being lauded by the world (including Ellen and Gordon Ramsay) for offering NASA an amazing idea, and that too completely for free.
Abouelkhair, who is an architect by profession, landed on this idea and shared it via her Instagram story with a number of pictures of the rocket which she used to illustrate her point.
The premise of Abouelkhair’s idea was that NASA should utilise the fuel and heat involved in rocket launches to barbecue a large amount of chicken and beef under the rocket launcher. As she described in her Instagram stories, the merits of the idea are endless. She illustrated how the giant barbecue party would help reduce world hunger, make for happier employees, give more credence to the use of energy, and get her a job at NASA as well.
Since it’s inception, Abouelkhair’s idea has made her a social media celebrity. NASA reached out to her, appreciating her for the idea and gifting her an all-expenses paid trip to their next rocket launch. Ellen and even Gordon Ramsey have reached out to her, appreciating her wit and inviting her to participate in some barbecue sessions with them. A number of restaurants offered her free meals for the duration of her stay and Netflix asked to document her time at NASA in a number of creatively named shorts.
Sarah and her family have visited the NASA space station as well, and the whole family seems to be profiting from her ingenious idea.
Seems like we’ll be seeing a lot of Abouelkhair on our TV screens very soon!
