‘Machete’ actor Danny Trejo helps save a baby from an overturned car. The Hollywood villain turns into Los Angeles hero!
An accident occurred in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Two cars crashed into each other near Hubbard Street and Jackman Avenue, ABC7 reported. One car overturned on the street and a special needs child was trapped in one of the seats.
75-year-old actor Danny Trejo was present at the scene of the accident. He rushed in to rescue the child with the help of another bystander, a woman.
The woman unbuckled the child’s seat belt, while the actor pulled him out of his seat. The Machete actor also helped soothe the child while his family was being rescued from the car.
Danny Trejo said, “He was panicked. I said OK, we have to use our superpowers. So he screamed ‘superpowers’ and we started yelling ‘superpowers.”
“I said do this, with the muscles. He said ‘muscles’,” he continued. “We got kind of a bond. I kept facing him away from the accident.”
The Los Angeles Fire Department informed the media that none of the victims sustained major injuries. However, 3 other people were escorted to the hospital, along with the special needs child for their injuries.
Trejo further told CNN, “The only thing that saved the little kid was his car seat.”
“Everything good that has happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else,” he continued further. “Everything.”
Trejo is famous for his roles in Spy Kids, Heat, Breaking Bad, Con Air, and Desperado. He usually plays the villain or an anti-hero in movies.
The cause of the accident is still unknown.
