Christen Johnson, mother of teenager, Kelsey, took her rage to Facebook after her daughter was ‘punished’ for getting highlights for her birthday!
Parents always go the extra mile to fulfill the wishes of their children. Christen Johnson, just like any other parent, did the same when her daughter, Kelsey, turned thirteen.
Kelsey wanted to get highlights as a present for her birthday from her mother. Christen agreed to it and took her daughter to a nice hairdresser.
All was going good; the mother and the daughter were over the moon with Kelsey’s new look.
However, when Christen dropped Kelsey at her father’s house, her father and stepmother did not seem to like what Kelsey had done.
Her father and stepmother decided to ‘punish’ her and so they CHOPPED HER HAIR OFF!
When she came back to visit her mother, she was traumatized. She wouldn’t even pose for pictures!
Christen Johnson took her anger and rage to Facebook as she posted ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures of her daughter, Kelsey. She wrote:
“This is what my daughter looked like Sunday when I took her home and the other two pics is what happened today before she was brought to me… all over me having highlights put in her hair for her birthday!”
People gave a very supportive response to her, as one person commented on her post, saying, “Omg cannot believe a father would humiliate her in this way absolutely horribly act, I know her hair will grow again but that’s not the point, poor girl she’ll never forget this.”
Fortunately, the mother knew how to cheer her daughter up. Christen took Kelsey to Lady Jane on Glendale in Toledo, Ohio, where Kelsey got her new wig!
Christen posted, again, on Facebook thanking the hairdressers at Lady Jane’s for giving Kelsey just the look that she wanted.
She said, “I’d like to thank the ladies at Lady Jane’s on Glendale in Toledo, OH for making my baby feel more like herself! Especially Haylee Ann for taking her to pick out her new hair. She got her smile back because of you ladies and your selfless acts of kindness!”
She continued, “We truly appreciate you ladies so much! Haylee, you are the best Godmother to Kelsey and the bond you two share is incredible, we love you so much!”
A Facebook page by the name of Team Kelsey was also made to gather support and raise funds to fight against the kind of abuse young Kelsey had to face.
