Sonic The Hedgehog is Back After Redesign in New Trailer
After the first trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog was released, fans were outraged at the character's look. They called his realistic teeth & small eyes ugly.

After receiving intense backlash over the design for Sonic, the directors decided to delay the film’s release. Instead, Paramount redesigned the character and released a new trailer for the film.

Back in April, Paramount released the first trailer for its live-action movie for SEGA’s Sonic The Hedgehog. However, fans were extremely disturbed by the realistic and creepy features of Sonic.

Director Jeff Fowler then announced on Twitter that they will be making changes to the character’s design.

Furthermore, he also announced the new release date for the film from 8th November to 14th February 2020.

The redesign was done with the help of Tyson Hesse, the animation director for Sonic Mania. He is also the director of the Sonic Mania Adventures animated series. Hesse wrote on Twitter, “Honored to have been brought in to lead the design on the new Movie Sonic. Working with Jeff and the modelers, riggers, texture/fur artists and animators in LA, London, and Vancouver was a thrill I’ll never forget.”
