John Krasinski is not in front of the camera, but he is in the director’s chair for A Quiet Place: Part II nonetheless. The sequel has finished its principal photography and Krasinski announced the news via a tweet.
A Quiet Place: Part II started filming in the summer of this year, and with September drawing to a close, it has finished the principal photography. John Krasinski honored the shoot ending by sharing a picture of him with his wife, Emily Blunt.
A Quiet Place: Part II has a long way ahead of it, but with the main shoot coming to an end, it was definitely sweet of John Krasinski to mark the achievement by sharing a Twitter picture of him and his wife walking down a bridge. During autumn, the team will be editing the sequel and then will handle it for any post-production work.
This is not the first time John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have been in the same movie, A Quiet Place – released last year – was the closest collaboration ever taken up by the couple. The horrifying store took place in a world where terrifying creatures had taken over the world. These creatures were very sensitive to sound, and this meant that any survivors had to spend their lives while being as silent as was possible.
Lee Abbot, the character played by John Krasinski, died in order to protect his wife and three children. That is where A Quiet Place left the audience. We do not have any details about how the story of A Quiet Place: Part II will progress. We might see Lee Abbot return to this family, or maybe we will be limited to watching him in flashbacks of his family only.
Evelyn, Emily Blunt, was able to discover that the monsters had a weakness; the sound that was emitted by the cochlear implant that Lee made for his deaf daughter, Regan. We might be seeing the family going on the offensive now that it has been armed with this knowledge. There have been, however, no revealing of any specific plot details.
However, fans of Peaky Blinders will be happy because Cillian Murphy is included in A Quiet Place: Part II. The role has yet to be disclosed, though. John Krasinski handled the script on his own after Bryan Woods, and Scott Beck took a step back from A Quiet Place: Part II.
