The Prodigy invited fans to Keith Flint’s funeral procession to be held on Friday, asking them to line the procession as it proceeds.
Keith Flint was found dead in his house on March 4. An inquiry into his passing which later opened on March 11 corroborated bandmate Liam Howlett’s statement that Flint had taken his own life.
The band recently posted on their Facebook page, “Fans are invited to line the procession route, starting at 3 pm in Braintree, Essex on Friday 29th March, to pay their final respects & ‘raise the roof’ for Keef Flint! If anyone wishes to lay flowers or tributes these should be sent to St Mary’s church in Bocking, no later than 2 pm on Friday. The church service will just be for family and close friends, but there will be speakers relaying the ceremony outside the church for everyone to hear.”
The group wanted to give fans the chance to pay their final respects to the singer. Since his passing, fans have made a number of attempts to pay tribute. Over 8200 people have signed a petition to have a statue of Flint erected in his hometown of Braintree. The nightclub The Cause is also hosting a fundraising rave. They will be playing the band’s music to raise money for mental health.
Flint was 49-years-old at the time of his passing.
