Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne finally laid all the rumors and speculations to rest by officially announcing their break up. Following all of the media reportage regarding their break up, Cheryl also revealed that she would also be opening up about her recent heart break in a soon to be released song.
Musicians are known to channel out their inner anxieties and post-break up stress Into the music they produce, and it seems to us Cheryl is also following the same pattern.
This confessional song is titled “Let You”, which she wrote after reuniting with her former band mate, Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud. The song is rumored to revolve around a woman giving voice to her beloved and later realizing that she has lost her own voice whilst trying to save a falling relationship. Cheryl penned more than half of the song while she was still with Liam Payne, but the break up did play a huge rule in her releasing this particular song right after.
Cheryl, 35, has also co-penned a variety of songs with Roberts, 32. The tunes of ‘Let You’ has been produced by ‘The Invisible Men’, who also helped Cheryl with tune productions for her last album.
Many from the music industry are suggesting this song to be Cheryl’s comeback into the mainstream music scene. “The track is a huge pop song and a strong contender to be the lead single for Cheryl’s comeback,” stated a close source to The Sun.
Speaking about reuniting with the Girls Aloud band mate, Nicola, Cheryl told The Sun, “Nicola and I wrote every track together and It’s been great working with one of my best friends, but I’m really proud of the album and excited for people to hear the new music.”
Speaking about the song, Cheryl stated, “It’s pretty much finished. At this stage we’re deciding what will be the first single. We’re choosing between about three songs, but that’s quite a nice problem to have and thankfully I’m not looking at it, saying, ‘Oh God, all this work and we don’t have a hit record’. I think we do.”
