If you are a true FRIENDS fans, then you are in for a treat (possibly treats) courtesy of Google. The classic 90s sitcom by NBC is approaching its 25th anniversary, and Google knew just how to treat fans of the show.
The show began airing on September 22, 1994, and soon became one of the most loved series to have been aired ever. It is so famous that some of the famous episodes are actually being shown in theaters on FRIENDS 25th anniversary. On the other hand, Ralph Lauren has launched a Rachel Green inspired wear to work clothing line as well.
Google has decided to treat the fans of the show to a different kind of tribute, though. Google Search is filled with different FRIENDS-themed Easter Eggs that you can enjoy as of this moment — wondering how to do that? Don’t worry, we have got you covered. Let’s begin, shall we?
Open Google’s homepage and search for ‘Friends glossary.’ This will lead you to a box that you can refresh as many times as you want and enjoy the oddball words and phrases along with their usage from the show.
This is what you need to do, open Google Search and type in ‘Monica Geller.’ Now that the results have been populated look at the righthand side of the page and you will see a soap bucket. Click on that, and a sponge animation will show up that will ‘clean’ the page. Fans of the show remember that Monica Geller was obsessed with cleaning.
How many of you remember that Pivot scene from the show? In that particular scene, Ross was attempting hilarious maneuvering of a couch up the stairs and continued yelling ‘Pivot.’ So, go on to Google and search for Ross Geller. You will see a couch on the right-hand side. Click the couch, and you will hear Ross yell ‘Pivot!’. After that, the screen does pivot actually, and you can continue to do that until the couch breaks after which you will hear Ross say that he doesn’t think it will pivot anymore.
When you search for Phoebe on Google, a guitar icon pops up on the right side. Once you click on it, the Smelly Cat song comes up.
If you Google Chandler Bing, you will see a Yasmine and Duck animation on your screen.
When you search for Rachel Green, you are given a graphic of Rachel Green that will, upon clicking, take you to a Google Image results page with different pictures of ‘The Rachel’ with her familiar and quite well-known haircuts.
When you search for Joey Tribbian and then click on the pica icon on the right-hand side, you will see different images of food pop up, and then two hands extend from the bottom of the screen, and the famous line of Joey plays, ‘Joey Doesn’t Share Food!’
Google has really made our day with these Easter Eggs on Friends 25th anniversary. Make sure you do check them out.
