Tom Felton jokes that Harry Potter constantly crushed over Draco Malfoy. He says Harry just couldn’t hide it.
Felton and Grint play “Fact or Fan Fic”
Tom Felton and Rupert Grint discussed Draco Malfoy’s love life in Harry Potter fan fiction. The actors played a game of “Fact of Fanfic” for AOL’s In The Know segment. In a round of AOL’s “Fact or Fan Fic,” Tom Felton joked that Harry Potter constantly crushed on his character Draco Malfoy.
Grint read from a card, “Fact or fanfic? Even while he was with Ginny, Harry was always in love with Draco.”
Felton replied with a smile, “Ah! I think it was clearly a fact. Harry was constantly crushing on Draco. He just couldn’t hide it.”
Grint added, “I think he made quite an impression on Ron as well.”

Tom was asked if he had read any of the Harry Potter fanfictions. He replied, “I’ve seen some pictures, some alarming ones.”
In the books and movies, Harry and Draco are constant rivals. Draco’s family are Voldemort supporters, the evil wizard who killed Harry’s parents. This makes Harry and Draco hate each other more.
The other cast members had different opinions
AOL interviewed the group during their mini-reunion at the recent opening celebration of Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s new roller coaster, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. James Phelps and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley, Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Warwick Davis (Professor Filius Flitwick) and the goblin banker Griphook, believed the contrary.
Felton was also asked if he and Hermione were meant to be together. He replied, “I think that’s a fan-fic. In fact, I feel like I’ve seen some fanfics along that line. What is it with Draco and matching him up with various Gryffindors?”
Emma Watson (Hermione) and Felton are friends in real life. Last year, they posed for a photo with their costar Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the movies.
Felton captioned the photo on Instagram, “School mates #hogwartsalumni.”
He also posed for a photo with Danial Radcliffe (Harry Potter), encouraging fans to go see him in the Broadway play “The Lifespan of a Fact.”
Felton wrote, “Go see it. He’s fantastic.”
There’s still no word from Daniel Radcliffe about his opinions on Harry’s feelings for rival, Draco Malfoy.
Tom Felton is a 31-year-old British actor and musician. He made his screen debut in the role of Peagreen Clock in The Borrowers and he portrayed Louis T. Leonowens in Anna and the King.
The third installment of the Harry Potter spin-off series, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is currently in development.
