The Game of Thrones cast reunited at the Season 8 premiere party in New York City to celebrate the last season, with a few exceptions.

The stars of the television series Game of Thrones arrived at the Radio City Music Hall in New York on Wednesday for the season 8 premiere party.
Almost all the actors were present at the party, even the ones who have left the show. This included Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo), Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell), Sean Bean (Ned Stark) Joe Dempsie (Gendry) Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) and many more.
However, one very important actor was missing from the party. Lena Headey, who plays the vicious Cersei Lannister was not able to attend the premiere due to illness. She expressed her sadness on Instagram by writing, “Gutted. Heartbroken and f–ked off, still doesn’t cover my disappointment at not being able to travel to NYC for our final prem tonight.”
The 45-year-old said, “I f–king hate being sick and the timing of this is a shit bag. But…[Season eight] is the tits and so are all my cast mates and crew mates and creators…so RIDE FORTH INTO THE NIGHT AND CREATE MAYHEM…Love you beauties.”
Her co-star Emilia Clarke shared her remorse by commenting hear and fire emojis and writing, “WE LOVE AND MISS YOU MAMMA. You’re here in spirit!!!!!!”
Kit Harington arrived at the party with his wife Rose Leslie who played Ygritte on the show. While Sophie Turner who plays Sansa Stark brought her fiance Joe Jonas as her plus one.
Emilia posted a picture on Instagram stating that she was wearing “Targaryen colors.” Her dress also had a poem embroidered on it that read, “Leave your door open for me / I might sleepwalk into your dreams.”
The creators of the show revealed that the final season’s episode will be longer than usual and will vary in length, with the final episode being an hour and 20 minutes long. The show has gained a lot of popularity ever since its first season aired in 2011. Game of Thrones has earned 47 Emmy Awards.
