Taylor Swift is grossed out at the sale of her masters to Scooter Braun by Scott Borchetta.
The 29-year-old artist claimed that her music catalog had been sold to Scooter Braun by Scott Borchetta without her knowledge. According to Billboard Borchetta’s Big Machine Label was acquired by Braun’s Ithaca Holdings as part of a $300 million deal. Braun is the manager for great artists like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Zac Brown Band, etc.
Swift signed up with Big Machine Label in 2006 when she was just fifteen. She claims that Borchetta never let her own her music and her life’s work from 2006 to 2017 was in his hands. She left Borchetta in 2018 and joined Universal Music Group instead.

The Bad Blood star then took to Tumblr and reported her ‘worst case scenario’, She revealed the deal that prevented her from owning her last 6 albums had left her grossed out.
She wrote, “For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work. Instead, I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and earn one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past.”
She continued, “Music I wrote on my bedroom floor and videos I dreamed up and paid for the money I earned playing in bars, then clubs, then arenas, then stadiums. ”
Taylor explained, “I learned about Scooter Braun’s purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world. All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I have received at his hands for years. Like when Kim Kardashian orchestrated an illegally recorded snippet f
She called it her worst case scenario saying, “This is what happens when you sign a deal at 15 to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept. And when that man says ‘Music has value,’ he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it.”
Many celebrities have responded to this feud. Halsey shared the following note on Twitter.

Todrick Hall also wrote, “For those asking, I left Scooter Braun a long time ago…I am saddened by this news, but not shocked. He is an evil person who’s only concern is his wealth and feeding his disgusting ego. I believe he is homophobic & I know from his own mouth that he is not a Swift fan.”
Scooter himself has not responded directly to Taylor Swift.
