Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram with a cunning comment about the new tiny sunglasses trend and fashion bloggers might need to watch their backs.
The Deadpool star posted a picture of himself on Instagram. This time he was not trolling his wife, Blake Lively, nor actor, Hugh Jackman, as he posed in the new 1990’s inspired look.
He captioned the image by writing, “I’m really into the whole tiny sunglasses trend. Thanks for your support everyone!”
It did seem as though the Canadian star was wearing his two-year-old daughter, James’ glasses.
The new tiny sunglasses trend has celebrities, including Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Kim Kardashian West, replacing their normal or over-sized shades for tiny ones and wearing them on the streets and red carpets.
The 41-year-old actor’s Instagram post got over two million likes and proved that the new trendy look isn’t for everyone.
Brazilian model and actress, Suelyn Medeiros, jokingly commented on the post, stating, “I need to step up my game and get on that trend. What brand are those?”
Comedian Average Rob said, “I can hook you up with some nice glasses @vancityreynolds.”
The Office actress, Mindy Kaling, also took to Twitter to criticize the new look. Her tweet gathered more than 100,000 likes with more than 17,000 retweets.
She wrote, “I think we will regret this tiny sunglasses look.”
A few months ago, Reynolds was seen interrupting Hugh Jackman’s heartfelt birthday wish video. The video started with Jackman, in a bath robe, explaining how busy he has been since the past few days.
Soon after, the video was taken over by Deadpool who was seen sitting in the background singing along to the song, Tomorrow.
Jackman captioned the video by saying, “When you’re trying to record a heartfelt birthday message …. but are interrupted by the least greatest showman.
Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, are known for making fun of each other on social media. Recently, Lively unfollowed everyone on Instagram, including husband Ryan Reynolds, and then followed 38 individual accounts all with the names of Emily Nelson. This was part of her promotion for her new movie, A Simple Favor.
Later, Reynolds reacted to being unfollowed in an interview with the Australian radio program, Smallzy’s Surgery stating, “I’m very sad about that. Definitely stinks. It’s a terrible way to find out that I’ve been kicked out of the house, to be honest. Absolutely terrible. I don’t know where rage like that comes from.”
