Other celebrity couples may shower each other with romantic gestures and adoring tweets/photos, but for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, just sugaring each other via social media suffices neither them nor us.
Reynolds and Lively are not just a successful and beautiful couple, they also possess a witty sense of humor which they throw towards each other via social media in the most loving way possible.
For Valentine’s Day, Reynolds posted a photo to his Instagram while holding a red heart-shaped cake he had baked for his wife.
He hilariously captioned the photo, “I baked this cake for my wife. The icing is glue, ’cause I’m not a scientist.”
The post got more than a million likes, as their followers admire the on-going social media banters the couple lovingly throw towards each other.
But that was not it. A few hours later, Reynolds posted another photo of himself at the gym and captioned it, “Ten minutes into writing an email to my mom, when I realized there was no phone in my hand.”
After liking the post, Lively took in the opportunity to get back at Reynolds for his earlier post and commented, “Why won’t this damn app swipe right?!?!!”
Reynolds replied, “@blakelively Because it’s the E-Harmony app”
Lively then commented back, “@vancityreynolds? can you show me how to download that? Ever since Ashley Madison closed I’ve been so lonely.”
For those who don’t know, Ashley Madison is a Canadian online-dating site used by those who seek extramarital affairs!
Quirky but quite typical of these two! Lively finally got a public Valentine’s Day wish from Reynolds for everyone to “Awww” over.
The well-known couple have been constantly fun-roasting each other on social media since over an year now. In 2016, the Deadpool star wished Lively on her 28th birthday by overshadowing Billy Ray Cyrus over her.
He tweeted, “Just want to wish Billy Ray Cyrus the most special, magical birthday ever. I love you with all my heart. Also, Happy Birthday to my wife.”
Another one in 2017, when he decided to grasp the opportunity of a viral photo of Lively during her filming in Dublin, by adding the troll-iest caption ever, ‘#nofilter’.
Reynolds has not been the only troll master in this game of comic banter. Lively is also known for displaying the most savage posts towards her husband.
While attending the Time 100 Gala to honor the most influential people of 2017, Lively snapped a photo of her husband’s silhouette with an equally humorous caption.
The caption stated, “Congratulations to the most influential person in my life. The best man I know…you deserve this.”
She comically added, “If only my husband wasn’t blocking you in this shot. I’m so sorry @johnlegend”
The 41-year-old actor also trolled his older brother, Jeff, on his birthday on the 1st of December.
He posted, “I may have three older brothers, but only one Jeff. You were the first friend I ever had. If there was ever a fire and I had to choose a family member to save, obviously it’d be me. But if I had time to save one more… and I knew it was safe to re-enter the burning building, you can be damn sure I’d call the fire department. They’re experts in the field and have top quality safety gear. Not to mention experience in these matters. I love you. Happy Birthday.?”
Reynolds and Lively met in 2010 on the sets of their film together, Green Lantern, and got married to each other in September 2012. The happy couple now have two daughters, James, age 3, and Ines, age 1.
As laughter is the most essential part of any relationship, Lively and Reynolds are certainly doing it the right away. Although they tend to keep their lives private, their publicly shared trolls towards one another have made their fans set up new relationship goals!
