Rihanna reveals that “Body Fluctuations” influenced her latest Fenty collection.
Rihanna made a surprise appearance at Fenty’s pop-up shop in New York City after launch on Tuesday of Release 6-19. She revealed the inspiration behind her latest collection as well.
“We always just try to push ourselves,” the singer told E! News in an interview with Jahleel Weaver, Fenty’s style director. She added, “We pride ourselves in challenging ourselves to do better and push ourselves further, and how can we get our message across in a more impactful way?”
The Fenty owner continued, “Whether it’s through fashion, lingerie, music, makeup…we try to get everybody involved and included in our brand.”
The 36-year-old had previously emphasized Body Fluctuation being included in her brand. She shared, “We have our fit models, which is the standard size from factories, you just get your samples made in one size.”
The What’s My Name singer added, “But then, I want to see it on my body, I want to see it on a curvy girl with thighs and a little bit of booty and hips.”
She continued,” And now I have boobs that I never had before…you know, I don’t even know how to sleep sometimes, it’s challenging, so imagine getting dressed.” Additionally, Rihanna told, “It’s all of these things I take into consideration because I want women to feel confident in my stuff.”
Furthermore, the new collection has launched on the website for a limited time.
