The film is set in 1969 during the Manson family murders. The trailer introduces us to the characters of DiCaprio and Pitt. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Rick Dalton, a washed up actor. Whereas, Brad Pitt takes up the role of his stunt double and best friend, Cliff Booth. Hollywoods Golden Age has been presented in the movie.
Margot Robbie stars as Sharon Tate, the actress who got murdered by Manson.
The cast also includes Al Pacino as Dalton’s agent, Damian Lewis as Steve McQueen, Dakota Fanning as Squeaky Fromme, and Bruce Dern as George Spahn. James Marsden, Luke Perry, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, and James Marsden will also star in the film.
This is Tarantino’s 9th film as director. He has also written and produced the film. Tarantino’s previous works include Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained and Pulp Fiction. He told Hollywood Reporter, “I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was seven years old. I’m very excited to tell this story of an L.A. and a Hollywood that don’t exist anymore. And I couldn’t be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio and Pitt as Rick and Cliff.”
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is set to release on July 26. Hollywood Reporter reported this week that the world premiere of the movie will occur at the Cannes Film Festival.
