Meghan Markle’s birthday gifts include a VERY special present from none other than Queen Elizabeth. The Duchess of Sussex will soon be 38 years old.
On August 4, the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle will be 38 years old. To celebrate, the Queen is reportedly giving her an extra special gift. The Mirror reported that the Queen will give the Duchess access to her holiday home in Balmoral, Scotland.
Balmoral is a large estate house which was published by Prince Albert. It has been a royal residence since 1852. The castle is owned by the Royal Family privately, and is not the Crown’s property. It is located in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The castle was built after the 1852 purchase when the existing house was declared too small.
In 1856, Balmoral Castle was finally completed. It costs nearly £3 million annually to run. The 50,000 acres contains around 150 other buildings as well as grouse moors, forestry, and farmland, and other animals. In 1987, the £100 even featured the castle.
The Queen visit Balmoral with husband Prince Philip ever summer. Family includes Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton join her for their “summer break”. The residence the Queen’s favorite home. Pictures of her driving Range Rovers and riding horses in the “the most beautiful place on Earth” have gone viral in the past.
In 2017, Princess Eugenie spoke about Balmoral life. She said, “Walks, picnics, dogs – lot of dogs, there’s always dogs – and people coming in and out all the time. It’s a lovely base for Granny and Grandpa, for us to come and see them up there, where you just have room to breathe and run.”

An insider told The Mirror, “It’s no secret Balmoral is Her Majesty’s favourite home and that’s why this invite is so special and heartfelt. The Queen and Prince Philip adore the couple and, of course, their new great-grandson Archie, and they have invited them to Balmoral for a few days. It is testament to Meghan that she has been given this invite. It’s a huge honor.”
Meghan will have her own wing with Prince Harry and their son Prince Arthur. Her birthday celebrations will include afternoon tea and cake with the Queen.
Another insider revealed that the Queen and Meghan get along really well and that they have a good bond. The source said, “They have a love of dogs in common and Meghan knows how to make her laugh.”
