Matt LeBlanc just revealed what he stole from the Friends TV set at the end of the show’s tenure, and the answer will not surprise you at all.
The TV show Friends ended 15 years ago, with many of its fans still being just as obsessed with the show and its characters today. The last day on set was bound to be emotional for all members of the cast. Matt LeBlanc revealed he stole a few items to keep with him for sentimental value.
On The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, LeBlanc revealed that he stole the Magna Doodle that would hang from the walls of Chandler and Joey’s apartment. The doodles would change every once in a while thanks to Paul Swain, the electrician on set who liked to draw different things each day.
LeBlanc said, “I stole it and gave it to him, so he’s got it. So, that’s kind of cool. I could have sold it for a lot more.”
LeBlanc added that the Magna Doodle was not the only thing he took, he also took the foosball from Joey and Chandler’s foosball table, which he now keeps in his toolbox. He additionally quipped that he took “a ton of cash” with him from the success of the show, and wanted to take more stuff but “I couldn’t fit the couch in my car.”
During the interview, LeBlanc also revealed that he went in a “bunch of times” for the audition of the show, and eventually the casting decision came down to him and one other person. He said that when the other guy turned up in a cowboy outfit, he knew he had the part, saying, “I was like, ‘Well, one of us is way off base.”
Even after two decades since the show began, fans still love it and rewatch it all the time. Netflix recently paid $100 million to keep it streaming on its services after fans freaked out thinking it was going to be taken off. LeBlanc himself revealed that he does not rewatch episodes, however, saying, “I have a hard time watching it these days. Yeah, because it makes me feel like I’m 100 years old.”
