Liam Hemsworth just revealed whether Miley Cyrus took his name after the two finally got married after a long-standing engagement.
After years of dating and being engaged, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth finally tied the knot in a small and intimate ceremony in their home. Hemsworth recently gave away some of the details from their nuptials during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan.
He said, “She will still be known as Miley Cyrus but she took my name, which is great. I think that was one of the best things about it. I didn’t ask her to take my name and she was like of course I’m taking your name. I’m like, ‘That’s awesome, that’s really good.'”
Liam also explained why the Tennessee wedding was so small and intimate. He said, “We never wanted to do anything too extravagant or big. We know how we feel about each other but we just wanted to do something simple, organic and just basically immediate family. It was a really nice day.”
He also revealed whether he is finding it exciting to call Cyrus his wife after having called her his girlfriend or fiance for so long. He said, “It’s become a little bit more normal but the first couple of weeks—It’s only been a month and a half or something—but the first couple of weeks was really fun to be wife and husband. I just have her in as a wife in my phone now.”
Hemsworth is going to be making an appearance in the upcoming romantic comedy Isn’t It Romantic.
