Liam Hemsworth has made his FIRST comment on his split from Miley Cyrus, and what he has to say is seriously heart breaking.
Liam and Miley shocked the world with their split just 8 months after their romantic wedding. Both the stars have been silent since the split occurred.
However, Hemsworth was cornered into replying by a Daily Mail Australia reporter. The reporter asked Hemsworth if he had anything to say about the split. Hemsworth replied, “You don’t understand what it’s like. I don’t want to talk about it, mate.”
In May, Hemsworth talked to GQ about his relationship with Miley. He said, “I was 18 when I met Miley. We really fell in love quickly and had a really strong connection from the beginning and I think in the back of my head I knew it was on the cards, but we weren’t planning to have a wedding anytime soon.”
He said the Woolsey fires brought them closer, saying, “Going through something this emotional with someone, it brings you closer and we felt like we’d lost a big part of our lives, so we wanted to make a new part of our lives. It was something really good coming out of a horrible situation. It was going to happen eventually, but I think this just sped it up a little bit.”
He added, “[Getting married] doesn’t change the relationship, it’s a more connected, deeper version of your relationship before you got married. But it’s still the same thing.”
On August 10, Cyrus’ rep confirmed that the couple have split up. The rep said, “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Cyrus later let her followers know what kind of state of mind she is in. She wrote in a post on social media, “Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of , which was once under water , connected with Africa , change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed. My dad always told me “ Nature never hurries but it is always on time”…. it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own.”
Cyrus and Hemsworth last appeared together at the Met Ball 2019.
