Kylie Jenner directly addressed the egg with a sinister threat on Instagram that upstaged her by getting more likes than her most liked photo has.
On January 4, an Instagram account called world_record_egg posted a stock photo of an egg and captioned it, “Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this.”
The likes on the egg have now officially overtaken the likes on Jenner’s most liked photo. The account only has 2 million followers versus Jenner’s 123 million but the picture of the egg got over 22 million likes (and counting).
Kendall, Kylie, Demi Lovato John Mayer, and Will Smith were among those who liked the egg picture.
Jenner’s most liked photo is one of Stormi Webster from last year, which was posted on February 6 of 2018 and captioned “Stormi Webster”. Stormi is now almost 1-year-old, which gives Jenner another photo opportunity to break the egg’s record.
In retaliation to the beaten record, Jenner already threatened the egg by posting a video captioned “Kylie when she sees the world record egg account.” In the video, Jenner felt the ground, confirming if it was hot. Then she cracked an egg on the asphalt, watching it bubble.
She captioned the video, “Take that little egg”. This original video is from a few years ago when Jenner and her best friend Jordyn decided to see if the California heat was enough to fry an egg, as the saying goes. Their experiment was unsuccessful at the time. However, they probably did not anticipate how well it would be re-purposed.
