Kim and Kourtney Kardashian throw a Candy Land themed birthday party for Penelope and North. Penelope turns 7 next month and North turned 6 on Saturday.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars threw their daughters a double birthday party. This year’s theme was the popular Hasbro board game Candy Land. They had the sweetest birthday celebration on Saturday. North is the oldest of Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West‘s four children.
Their birthday party was held at Kourtney’ s house. Her large backyard was transformed into a candy land. It featured a rainbow board game path. There was so much candy.
Kim said in her Instagram Stories, “Candy Land is the theme of today, guys, for North’s party.”
Kourtney also shared party footage on her Instagram Stories, displaying the balloon-filled entrance of her home. She captioned the videos, “Welcome to Candyland.”
Scott Disick and Sofia Richie could be seen in one of Kardashian West’s videos. Aunt Khloé Kardashian was also in attendance.
The sweet decorations
There were colorful wrapped gum ball-shaped balloons and other candy decors such as giant gummy bears, toadstools and lollipops. A candy-themed bounce house and tables full of candy, including a giant candy bar with pieces of candy spelling out the words, “Happy B-Day Penelope and North.” It also had two matching white frosted rainbow surprise cakes filled with sprinkles and candy.
Kardashian West highlighted on her Instagram Story all of the party’s colorful sweet treats. They included doughnuts, matching unicorn cakes and rice-crispy pops with little unicorn horns and ears.
The reality star called out to the cute cousins in a video, “North and P! Twin girls, turn around!” The video showed the pair’s identical rainbow robes and matching bathing suits.
Kim shared a video of kids lined up to get a soft-serve cone. She said, “Mr. Softee is here and mine already melted but I’m in heaven.”
Last year, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian celebrated their daughters birthdays at a joint unicorn-themed birthday party. In 2017, the twin cousins enjoyed a Moana-themed birthday celebration.
A few hours before the party, Kardashian West dedicated a tribute in honor of her daughter’s special day. She wrote alongside a slideshow of adorable mother-daughter photos, “Happy Birthday my sweet girl! The last 6 years have been the best of my life raising you and seeing you grow up. Mommy loves you forever and beyond!”
North’s uncle Rob Kardashian also shared birthday greetings. He posted a sweet photo of his niece on Instagram that showed her cuddling a puppy.
Kris Jenner shared nine gorgeous photos of her granddaughter and wrote, “Happy Birthday to my little Angel Northie!!!! What a bright light you are and such a blessing to our family!! Your magic and sunshine lights up every room and I adore how creative and smart you are. You are so kind and loving to everyone you know and have a beautiful heart and soul…I love you so much precious North and it is a pleasure and a privilege to be your Grandmother. I love you.”
What North wants Kim to do
On a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kardashian West revealed that her now-6-year-old convinced her to do something very much beyond her comfort level.
Kardashian West said, “North despises how much time I spend in hair and makeup. She just will come in the room and be like, ‘You’re leaving?’ I think she sees that when I do hair and makeup it means I’m going to leave her. But I can’t not work, so I just feel really bad. I explained to her, ‘This is what I have to do, but what are some things that you like to do?’ She was like, ‘Camping’.”
She noted that her daughter got the idea after watching The Parent Trap.
Kim added, “Camping is literally the last thing in my life that I want to do. I don’t know how I’m going to build a tent. I just don’t do that.”
The June 3 episode showed the mother-daughter duo headed out to Lake Hemet for the night. Alongside went Larsa Pippen and her 10-year-old daughter Sophia, plus Tracy Romulus and her daughter.
Kardashian West said, “North had the best time on the trip as the gals pitched a tent, went fishing — and urinated in a bucket! But I hope North doesn’t think it’s a tradition and that we have to go every year because that’s not going to happen.”
Keeping Up With The Kardashians returns this Sunday with a new episode.
