Kit Harington will be starring alongside Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden in Marvels’ The Eternals. This is his first big role after Game of Thrones.
During San Deigo Comic-Con last month, Marvel revealed the cast of its Phase 4 movie The Eternals. It included Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Don Lee, Lia McHugh, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry and Lauren Ridloff.
On Saturday, at the D23 Expo, President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige revealed more news regarding the upcoming movie.
He said Kit Harington will be joining the cast as Dane Whitman, also known as the Black Knight. Additionally, Crazy Rich Asian’s star Gemma Chan will star as Sersi.
This film will include an entirely new group of superheroes. The comics behind the movie were created by Jack Kirby.
Before the announcement at D23, Deadline reported that Harington will be joining the MCU. However, fans speculated that he will star as the next Wolverine.
Now, it has been confirmed that the Game of Thrones star will be joining fellow GOT actor Richard Madden in The Eternals. Fans are incredibly excited about the return of their favorite brotherly duo.
One fan wrote, “Marvel loses one Stark, gains two… #D23EXPO”
Another posted, “THIS IS NOT A DRILL kit harington and richard madden will be in the same movie next year and my heart is bursting with happiness”.
The Eternals is set to release on 6 November 2020.
