Kevin Hart sued for alleged assault by his security guard. The comedian is facing a lawsuit for battery and assault.
According to People, the star of Ride Along is in legal hot waters after a woman claimed she was injured by a member of his security team.
Carmen Marrero has sued Kevin Hart. She is accusing ‘John Doe’, the guard, for causing her “to fall and sustain serious personal injuries.”
According to Blast, court documents reveal the event occurred when Hart was being escorted out of a building in New York City in January.
Furthermore, Blast was notified that Marrero claims on January 9, 2019, she was walking on the sidewalk in New York. Hart was exiting a building and a group of fans gathered around him.
In the lawsuit, Marrero stated that Hart’s security guard “violently contacted” her.
This led to her having “seriously and permanently injured” from the incident. Marrero is also suing Hart’s company Hartbeat Productions along with his guard. Marrero is seeking unspecified damages.
The event occurred during the same time that Hart pulled out of hosting the Oscars.
The Ride Along star repeatedly apologized for the said tweets and said “Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community. I apologize.”
Since the event occurred Hart has moved on and starred in films such as Night School, The Secret Life of Pets 2 as well as appearing in his first Netflix comedy special Kevin Hart: Irresponsible.
Kevin Hart’s reps have refused to comment in lieu of the whole situation.
