Ryan Reynolds hilariously offered to call up Celine when Kanye objected to not being used as the musical talent for Deadpool. Fans did not like the idea of West featuring in a Ryan Reynolds movie.
In another one of his Twitter moments, Kanye West tweeted out on Tuesday that,”I love both Deadpool movies [fire emojis] I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine…bro I would have cleared my music for Deadpool.”
He also said he loved how Reynolds has been innovative with the writing and production of the Deadpool movies, and gone beyond the normal standard for superhero flicks. He wrote, “[Sic] your guys writing and approach is so innovative … I love how you guys break the 4th wall… thank you for being innovative and please know I’m down to clear next time.”
Within minutes, Ryan Reynolds shot back a quick reply, using his standard sarcastic quips on Twitter to say, “Agree. I’m having a word with Celine Dion.”
Dion sang an original track for Deadpool 2’s soundtrack. The song was called Ashes. Dion premiered it initially on Good Morning America. Host Lara Spencer introduced it by saying, “They told us that Deadpool himself wrote Celine a letter asking if she would like to be part of his ‘masterpiece,’ and after she heard 30 seconds of the song, she was sold.”
The film also features tracks by Skillrex, Diplo, Tyler Bates, Dolly Parton, Pat Benatar, Peter Gabriel and Cher. The first Deadpool movie featured Juice Newton, DMX, Salt-n-Pepa, Neil Sedaka and George Michael.
Fans loved the exchange between Reynolds and West but many were completely against the idea of having Kanye on board the Deadpool team.
Ryan, honey, he isn’t smart enough to get that you’re joking. Don’t go into a battle of wits with an unarmed man: it isn’t a fair fight ?

Maybe If Kanye put as much effort into his career as he does gloating then maybe he would be closer to Celine’s level of success and have a shot at more movie Theme songs….#just saying

While having Kanye on board may have helped, Deadpool 2 has amassed over $657 million since its release on May 18. It seems the film hit the right notes with its choice of team, but maybe Kanye can find a spot in a potential Deadpool 3.
On the other hand, West also does not need Deadpool 2‘s publicity. The artist just celebrated his 41st birthday with a huge party thrown for him by his wife, Kim Kardashian. He also just released his eighth studio album, Ye, which is now on number one on Billboard, making Kanye tie with Eminem.
At the start of May, Dion released a music video for this song featuring Deadpool as her backup dancer in heels. Fans loved the attention to detail on Reynold’s part in creating the music video, and since its release, it has garnered over 31 million views on YouTube.
