Back in 2016, he made a similar announcement by saying, “I have decided to retire young. Thanks for the cheese. Catch ya’s later.” However, he made a comeback in a fight against Nate Diaz.

McGregor made his announcement a few hours after he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The UFC fighter mentioned that his next fight was going to occur in the summers.
