The 68-year-old advocate, Caitlyn Jenner, recently revealed that she had skin cancer removed from the tip of her nose!
Caitlyn shared her experience through an Instagram post. In the picture, I Am Cait star was seen wearing a white robe. The image showed her makeup-less face with the tip of her nose red and exposed due to the removal of cancerous skin.
In the caption of her image on Instagram, she shared an important message regarding sunscreen.
“I recently had to get some sun damage removed from my nose,” she explained.
Caitlyn further said, “Always wear your sunblock.”
The ex-spouse of Kris Jenner didn’t mention what kind of cancer it was or whether it was malignant or not. But according to sources, the cancer she suffered from was actually basal cell carcinoma.
According to the American Cancer Society, this type of cancer could look like any unusual moles, bruises, lumps, spots, markings, or changes in the color of the skin.
The cancer could also feel like waxy or scar-like injuries on the skin which are usually reddish in color.
The celebrity has been diagnosed with cancer two times before this. She underwent cheek surgery in 2012 and had tissues from her nose removed in 2013.
As a way of informing her fans about her recovery, Jenner posted another photo on Instagram.
The caption read, “Hair is looking great.”
She additionally said, “Nose is not, but healing well!”
The star had been avoiding wearing makeup for a while now in order to avoid any soreness on her scar.
She was first seen in Malibu with an irritation on the tip of her nose.
After her transition from male to female in 2015, Caithlyn has been working on a healthy skin routine to ease her changes that her skin was going through.
“How has my skin care regimen changed since transitioning? Let me give you the 411,” the star Twitted a while ago.
Talking about the problems that she had to face after her beard removal, she said, “I had, back in the ’80s, my beard removed, which actually took a lot of volume out of this area, so its kinda been a little bit of pot-holey.”
She continued, “That has gotten better throughout the years which is a good thing.”
The activist, who also launched a lipstick with MAC, also mentioned MAC cosmetics as being her favorite go-to brand.
“I primarily use MAC products, I think they do a great job, I love their coverage, it’s been a lot of fun for me to learn kinda the makeup and how it works.”
