Police have now launched an appeal into the case of British YouTuber Marina Joyce, 9 days after she vanished.
Marina last uploaded a YouTube video on June 21. She has 2.1 million followers on the platform. According to Missing People, she was last seen leaving her North London home on July 31.
The organization wrote, “Marina we are here for you whenever you are ready; we can listen, talk you through what help you need, pass a message for you and help you to be safe.”
A Scotland Yard spokesman said, “Marina Joyce, 22, was reported missing to police on Wednesday, 7 August. It was reported she was last seen on 31 July. Enquiries are underway to try and locate her. Anyone with information is asked to call police in the North Area Command Unit on 101 and quote ref: 19MIS031063.”
22 year old Joyce has become the center of an online conspiracy theory 9 days after her disappearance. A video has appeared online, which shows her whispering “help me”.
The clip is from a 2016 video titled Date Outfit Ideas. In the video, Marina’s arms were bruised and her fans suspected she might have been kidnapped.
The hashtag #SaveMarinaJoyce started trending on Twitter soon after. However, the Enfield Police later said that the YouTuber is “safe and well”.
Weeks later, the YouTuber asked her followers to refer to her as “Goddess Marina”. She also said she had “found a couple of secrets about the After Life”.
