Nikki Bella’s sister, Brie Bella, reveals her sister’s breakup with John Cena was real. She recently spoke out about their relationship saying the couple gets hate unfairly for living their real life.
After 6 years of dating, Nikki Bella and John Cena announced their split on April 15 via Instagram. The split came just a few weeks before their wedding scheduled for May 5. Later, in a May appearance on Today, Cena admitted that he not only still loved Nikki, he was also willing now to have a family with her, which he had been opposed to before.
The two have been seen together since, with conflicting reports about their future and the current status of their relationship. Many have put their relationship troubles down to promo for the reality shows Nikki Bella stars in with her sister, Total Bellas and Total Divas.
Brie recently did an interview with Metro where she explained that she has to hold herself back from discrediting all the rumors against her sister and Cena. She said, “On a daily basis, every day I have to bite my tongue! I so badly would love to go on a Twitter rant or an Instagram story rant and just tell people, ‘Listen, I’m the sister and I see everything, and you’re wrong, you’re wrong, you’re wrong!'”
She also added that after having been together for six years, her sister and Cena deserve to go out every now and then without it being investigated or hated on. She elaborated, “When I see my sister and John get all this hate because they’re seen out for breakfast, and people say, ‘Oh, it’s fake,’ it’s like, No, it’s not! They were together for six years, they can meet for breakfast and talk!’ It’s crazy that there are all these rumors!”
She also said that she admires both her sister and Cena for allowing cameras into the reality of their relationship, and chalked it up to her sister’s dedication to filming her show. She added that it’s difficult for Nikki to relive the hard times but she does it despite people calling the drama ‘fake’.
She said, “Everything with Nikki and John … I have to give them a lot credit! There were so many times they could’ve told the cameras to go away, and asked not to air this or that. But my sister and I are the type of women that when you sign up for a reality show, you have to give the good, the bad, the ugly, the happy, everything! We’ve always stayed true to that. It’s been really hard for her to relive – especially when people call all the drama fake. It’s like, ‘Nope, this is real life!‘”
Brie also said that she gets frustrated and finds it funny when people looking into their lives tell her sister how to break up and live her life, saying everyone is different and people need to accept that. She said, “I think it’s really been hard for her to relive. As a sister you want everything to be back to normal, and happy, and good.
“It’s been hard on me too! It’s obviously not my place, but it gets frustrating because sometimes everyone feels they know the right way to break up, or they know what’s really going on in their relationship, and that always cracks me up! Everyone handles situations differently!”
The reality TV star concluded her statement by saying that whether Nikki and Cena end up together or not, she wants them both to be happy. She further stated that even though Nikki does not know where she stands with Cena, she definitely wants to be a mother someday.
She said, “Whether it’s together or not! But that’s all I want for them both. I think she’s taking it all day by day. She definitely wants to be a mum in her future, but right now she just wants to see if her and John are meant to be.“
