“Avengers: Endgame” earns Best Movie award alongside two other top honors at the MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Marvel Studio’s Avengers take over the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Recently, Endgame turned out to be a pillar of the entertainment industry. It gained the support of millions of fans around the globe. Joe and Anthony Russo directed this film from a script written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Endgame got unleashed in late April and was an immediate hit with critics and fans.

MTV’s Movie & TV Awards just passed by and Endgame won the ‘Best Movie of the Year’ Award. It left behind the likes of BlacKkKlansman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Us. Anthony Russo, felt the privilege to accept the award for Endgame on behalf of Marvel Studios. He paid tribute to late Marvel icon Stan Lee in his acceptance speech. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth later joined him to share a few words. The Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. sent voice messages for the occasion.
Moreover, the movies still remain the favorite of fans even though a lot of time has passed since its arrival. The latest award ceremony is proof of that. Downey Jr. also received The Best Hero Award. His role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame led him to this award. Josh Brolin, his co-star ended up with Best Villain award for his role as Thanos.
Other than that, Jada Pinkett Smith was honored with the Trailblazer Award, and Dwayne Johnson took home the Generation Award.
Likewise, Dwayne Johnson picked up the award for his numerous contributions to films and TV. The former wrestler, aka The Rock, encouraged fans to embrace their differences.
“When I first got to Hollywood, Hollywood (bosses), they didn’t know what the hell to do with me…,” the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star recalled. “I was told at that time, ‘You gotta be a certain way, you gotta drop some weight, you gotta be somebody different, you gotta stop working out… You gotta stop calling yourself The Rock.’ What…?
“For years, I bought into it… and I was miserable doing that, so I made a choice: I wasn’t going to conform to Hollywood, Hollywood was gonna conform to me.”
Brie Larson also won an award for Best Fight for her role in Captain Marvel.
