Going To the Finals

Charlie was cheered on by his dad during his finals performance. Billy cheered his son on from the sidelines. The ex-defender played for Manchester United from 1984 to 1990 and has made 51 appearances for the Red Devils over the course of his career.

Billy told Manchester Evening News, “I think he was dancing before he was even born. My wife ran a dance studio and she was literally on stage preparing for a dance show with Charlie in her tummy. When she went into labour she was preparing other kids for their performance.”

Additionally, he said, “It’s her dancing and rhythm that he has. As soon as he could walk he had rhythm.”My other two boys play football but Charlie would never kick a ball. I played 50 times plus for United but I’m more nervous about this than making my debut. They are two talented kids. They only had two days to prepare for the semi-finals and a day and a half to learn a new dance for the final.”
