'Scooby-Doo' Voice-over Artist Heather North Dies at 71
Heather North, who was the voice behind Daphne Blake in the popular cartoon 'Scooby-Doo', passed away at the age of 71. She died at her home in California.

Heather Lindsay North, an American actress, popularly known as the beautiful voice of Daphne Blake in Hanna-Barbera’s Scooby-Doo has died at the age of 71.

The Hollywood Reporter stated that voice artist died on November 30, 2017, in her home in Studio City California.

Reportedly, she had a long-term disease. However, there is little information regarding the illness.

Heather had a pretty phenomenal career. She was the second actress after Stefanianna Christopherson, to voice Daphne. North played the voice of the beautiful cartoon character for more than thirty years. She started in 1969 and was a regular in the cartoons till 1997.

In 2003, she voiced Daphne in two Scooby-Doo animated movies; Scooby-Doo! And the Legend of the Vampire and Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico.

Heather featured in other renowned projects too. She appeared on sitcoms like Green Acres, The Monkees, Gidget, Adam-12 and My Three Sons.

She starred in the 1965 American drama film Git! This drama film was written by Homer McCoy and directed by Ellis Kadison.

Additionally, she was on popular daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives and played the part of Sandy Horton on the show from 1967-1971. On the set of this very show, she met her husband H. Wesley Kenney.

H. Wesley Kenney was an American television director and producer who also directed Days of Our Lives. He was also the Co-Executive Producer of The Young and the Restless from 1982 to 1987.

Wesley further went on to replace Gloria Monty as Executive Producer for the famous show, General Hospital. He was very fortunate in his career with eight Emmy nominations and five wins.
