The film will be titled Johnny English Strikes Again and will be a sequel to film Johnny English Reborn, which was released on September 15, 2011.
On August 3, 2017, Working Title Films had announced that they had begun production of the film. Now, it has been confirmed that the third edition of the James Bond spoof is all set to hit the cinemas on September 20, 2018 by Universal Pictures.
The film is being directed by David Kerr and will star the Mr. Bean star, Rowan Atkinson. Producers, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Chris Clark, of the previous edition will come back together for this venture. Robert Wade and Rowan Atkinson have written the screenplay.
The teaser trailer was released on YouTube, which also announced the name of the film. The full official trailer is all set to be released tomorrow (April 5).
The first film of the series was released in 2003 under the title of Johnny English, while the second was released in 2011 by the name of Johnny English Reborn. Both movies made approximately $160 million on Box Office and were super hits!
The film will, reportedly, begin when the identities and names of all the undercover agents will be revealed by a criminal mastermind, and a disaster will strike.
The secret service will look to their only trusted agent – Johnny English – who is currently teaching at a minor prep school. He will come back to fight the mysterious hacker and will use all the ‘little’ skills he has; “It will take all of his skills- what few he has- as the man with yesterday’s analog methods faces off against tomorrow’s digital technology.”
