Disney has been teasing us all with dropping hints and disclosing that who would be starring in the Lion King remake.
After much rumors and speculation, it was announced that Queen Beyonce would be in the cast of everyone’s childhood favorite, Lion King.
Jon Favreau’s Lion King was what every child has seen.
We all had cried when Mufasa died, laughed and sung along to Hakuna Matata, and binged watched it even when we got older.
The cast that has been decided for the movie couldn’t be better than this, and fans are excited to see many A-Lister Hollywood stars on the list.
Donald Grover would be the voice of the adult Simba whereas JD McCrary would be voicing Young Simba.
Beyonce would be playing Nala, Simba’s love interest and Shahadi Wright would be playing Young Nala. Chiwetel Ejiofor would play the backstabbing uncle, Scar, and James Earl Jones will be rejoining the movie as he did back in the classic and will play the role of the one whose death we still can’t get over, Mufasa.
The duo Pumba and Timon would .” by Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner.
Some were not happy that Keegan Micheal would play the role of the crazy mad Hyena in the film.
The Crazy In Love singer confirmed her role in the movie via her Facebook and the whole world cannot wait until the film drops out.
Beyonce previously turned down Disney’s Live-Action version of Beauty and The Beast as she said the part wasn’t big enough for her.
Lion King is said to be released next year on July 19. The shooting will also start next year.
The classic film Lion King was released on June 15, 1994, and became a hit quickly.
It is the second highest grossing animated film of all the time and first most-top grossing traditional film of all the time. The movie has earned a whopping amount of $968.5 million worldwide.
Lion King would be Beyonce’s second role in an animated film, first one being Epic. She voiced the main lead who was a teenager transported to a forest that is fighting a battle of good versus evil.
Disney has started a tradition of remaking hits of the old classic after Beauty and The Beast and Aladdin now Lion King has been added to list.
Even though Aladdin got a lot of criticism for its remake we hope that will not be the case with Lion King.
Many fans think that after some disappointments with Action Live remake of Aladdin, Disney should not touch Lion King.
Fans believe that the original will always be number one and it can’t ever be replaced. Some are concerned that their childhood favorite might get ruined.
Ever since Disney dropped out the Cast list on Twitter somewhat subtly and nonchalantly, the fans have gone crazy over the fact that Beyonce is going to be in it.
“Beyonce, here’s some advice from the cast of The Lion King musical in London “Try not to outshine [the rest of the cast]”. BBC Newsbeat tweeted.

One person was unhappy and said, “I was excited about the new
#LionKing but the fact Beyonce is in it means I won’t be watching. The most overrated person in the world. Ever”.
“Beyonce isn’t just making money moves — she’s making career-defining statements! The Lion King soundtrack alone will probably add 15-30 million in record sales and secure her an Academy Award”, one person tweeted.

@Zola tweeted “So Beyonce’s about to do Coachella, go on another world tour (the streets are talking), possibly release another album, play Nala in Lion King, possibly sing the Bond theme song… 2018/19 belongs to her TBH”.
Beyonce would also be singing the hit song “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” with Donald Glover.
The original Elton John song won an Academy Award and sold out 11 million copies worldwide.
This year has been hectic for the 36-year-old Beyonce.
She gave birth to twins Sir and Rumi because of which she had to cancel or reschedule most of her Lemonade Tour.
She also rescheduled her Coachella Performance because of her pregnancy.
There are also rumors that the Grammy Award-winning singer is working on another album.
We all wish that Lion King Remake would be as influential as the Classic Lion King was.
