Not a drill, the Salt actress wanted to volunteer to take down the outlaw warlord with the help of husband, Brad Pitt as per archives spilled from ICC.

After the leak of 40,000 archives to the French Website Mediapart, The Sunday Times reported that she wanted to make a trip to the Central African Republic with a group of US special powers. Is there anything she can not do?

The offer was made amid email dialogs with former ICC chief prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo, who needed to send Jolie to the Central African Republic to help find the infamous Ugandan war-king.

In one email sent by Moreno Ocampo, he asserts that Jolie ‘has the plan to welcome Kony to supper and afterward capture him’.

Moreno Ocampo was planning to get Jolie and her now distanced spouse, Brad Pitt involved in Uganda with US troops near the warlord’s fortress. He believed that their presence would then draw Kony out of his armored compound and enable the US forces to take him into custody.

As head of the Lord’s Resistance Army, Kony has a $5 million bounty on his head and is wanted by the ICC for crimes against humanity.

“Apparently you can be embedded with the special forces that are chasing Kony,” he wrote in a different message to Jolie, “Can Brad go with you?”

Jolie replied, “Brad is being supportive. Let’s discuss logistics. Much love Xxx.”

Moreno Ocampo later added, “It will be great to spend more time with the American troops. They are eager to get Kony, but after meeting you, they will do it.”

Although, the arrangement never happened as intended, and Moreno Ocampo says the Mediapart spill is a piece of a ‘focused cyber-attack’.

‘Someone is attempting to blackmail me using illegally obtained information,’ Moreno said.

The cache of emails also suggests that Moreno Ocampo developed something of a fixation with celebrities during his time as Chief Prosecutor at the ICC, which has a budget of $270 million to investigate and prosecute cases of genocide and war crimes.

However, their contact has waned in recent years. The Sunday Times reports that despite Moreno Ocampo’s hopes that Jolie would get involved in a charity education project, an email that simply read, “Dear Angie, I hope you are well. I miss you,” received no response.

The star’s right hand later directed Moreno Ocampo that Jolie had changed her email address.

Ocampo officially finished his term with the ICC in 2012. While, Kony is believed to be currently hiding in the disputed border area between Sudan and South Sudan.
