Widow of former Linkin Park member, Chester Bennington announced her engagement two years after the singer committed suicide.
It’s been two years since Chester Bennington took his own life on July 20, 2017. His wife, Talinda Bennington has now announced her engagement 2 years after she lost her husband.
“I’m overjoyed to announce my engagement to my angel on earth. Michael F. I’m right here to inform you that you will discover love after tragedy. dying of a soulmate doesn’t imply the dying of you,” she announced in a post on her Instagram.
Talinda continued, “My family, friends and my Linkin Park brothers welcome him to the family with open arms. I will continue to honour Chester and continue my life’s mission to make his passing not in vein.
“To all suicide loss survivors, you CAN be happy again. You CAN have space in your heart for grief, joy, happiness, sadness and love. Thank you for ALL your continued love and support. Talinda,” she ended her emotional anouncement.
The 42-year-old mental health activist has kept her relationship with her new man, Michael F. private. However, TMZ reported that he is a Los Angeles County firefighter.
Talinda and Chester tied the knot back in 2006. The former playboy model had 3 kids with the late singer, 13-year-old Tyler and twins who turned 7 this year, Lilly and Lila. The Grammy Award-winning singer battled with depression and substance abuse for years before taking his own life.
Co-founder of Linkin Park, Mike Shinoda congratulated Talinda on Instagram. “I’ve already congratulated you both in person, but congrats again, ha! All our love and support!” he wrote.
In addition, Chester’s close friend, Chris Cornell’s widow also commented, “Congratulations! Sending you all so much.”
The In The End singer committed suicide on July 20th, 2017.
