The reunion tour has been scheduled for 20 December in Los Angeles. No other dates have been announced for their gig.

My Chemical Romance is led by singer Gerard Way. Other band members include guitarists Frank Iero, Ray Toro and Mikey Way.

Earlier this year, singer Joe Jonas revealed in an interview that he thought MCR was reuniting. He revealed, “I’ve got some dirt. My Chemical Romance apparently were rehearsing next to us in New York recently…  I thought they broke up, so I don’t know.”

In 2013, Gerard Way wrote an emotional letter announcing the bands split to fans. He wrote, “My Chemical Romance is done. But it can never die. It is alive in me, in the guys, and it is alive inside all of you. I always knew that, and I think you did too. Because it is not a band — it is an idea.”

Furthermore, after their split Way started writing comic books. His famous work The Umbrella Academy was adapted by Netflix last year. The show starring Ellen Page has been renewed for a second season.
