Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter were spotted together for the first time during a vacation in Italy and had recently moved in together.

However, according to PEOPLE, “Miley and Kaitlyn broke up”.

A source told the media outlet, “They’re still friends. They’ve been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated. But they’re just not in a romantic relationship anymore.”

Previously it was reported that the women had moved in together and were “very happy”. They were also spotted making out at the VMA’s after-party.

The 26-year-old singer was married to actor Liam Hemsworth before. However, the couple announced their break up after photos of Cyrus kissing Carter went viral on the internet.

Hemsworth filed for divorce from The Climb singer back in August. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the split. Hemsworth and Cyrus’s marriage lasted only for 8 months.

Furthermore, Miley was also accused of cheating on The Hunger Games actor after news about her and model Kaitlynn started circulating. She lashed out on Twitter and Instagram against her accusers.

Writing, “I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”

A few hours after her split with Kaitlynn Carter was announced, Miley performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. The singer performed her recent song Don’t Call Me Angel from the film Charlie’s Angels.

Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter have not responded to news about their break up.
