Meghan Markle is the Duchess of Sussex and came up with a fascinating way of honoring the late Princess Diana. She made use of Archie’s cap for ‘tipping hat’ to the late member of the British royal family.
The tipping of hat was noticed as Meghan Markle arrived in South Africa with Prince Harry in South Africa. The family of three arrived in Cape Town on Monday as part of their first official tour to South Africa. It was then that the former actress paid tribute to Princess Diana – her late mother-in-law – in a fashion that can be best-described as heartwarming.
The Duchess of Sussex and the family kicked off the official 10-day tour by holding baby Archie who is simply the best when it comes to winning hearts. Archie wore an adorably cute white knitted-wool hat that also had a joyfully matching pom-pom.
Archie, who is only four months old, was wearing a cap that may very well have been perceived as a tribute to the late Princess Diana by Meghan. Why? Princess Diana made Prince Harry wear a similar cap as well when she was traveling to Scotland back in 1985. Prince Harry was also four months old at that time. Such a brilliant way of paying tribute to your mother-in-law.
The trio started their official tour with a stop at Nyanga Town in Cape Town. During the trip, the family will be visiting Botswana, Malawi, and Angola.
A statement that was issued from the palace about South Africa visit reads, ‘The Duchess will be working with organizations to promote women’s education, health, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The Duchess of Sussex is particularly looking forward to the opportunity to learn from inspirational women in the region. As Patron of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Her Royal Highness will meet female entrepreneurs, academics and community leaders, and join discussions with Southern African young women about the future of their countries.’
