A small business in Australia apparently received a cease and desist letter from Kylie Jenner.
The entire fuss is about the way Jenner woke Stormi up during an office tour she did for her YouTube channel. Jenner really belted out ‘Rise and Shine’, making her the subject of endless memes on the Internet.
However, she took to the Internet to assure fans she was not sending cease and desist letters. She wrote, “Guys, please don’t believe everything you read. I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters. Rise and Shine was an unexpected moment. I had a lot of fun with it, and I have laughed so hard seeing everyone’s memes since the video came out a few weeks ago.”
“There are no law suits, no cease and desist letters. Happy Sunday,” she added in a later tweet.
Jenner also responded to a news article claiming she was suing Cased Clothing, a clothing brand from Australia, over the use of the phrase Rise and Shine. She tweeted, “Lies lies lies. Never did this. Wow.”
The company itself wrote on social media, “We currently do not and have never had a problem with Kylie Jenner. We are unsure where all this started and we do not want to be involved.”
Jenner is also selling Rise and Shine merchandise herself.
