Kim Kardashian has had to make some changes in her lifestyle because of Ye’s new epiphany!
The KKW Beauty mogul was on The Real on Tuesday. During her visit, she revealed how her marriage to Kanye has changed over the years, especially now that they have four kids together.
She said, “I obviously want to honor him and what he’s feeling. And he’s been going through this life change.”
The couple have 4 kids together: 6 year old North, 3 year old Saint, 2 year old Chicago and 5 month old Psalm. Kim said finding a balance in how to raise them is one of the tougher parts of their marriage.
She said, “The kids are getting older. He’s more cautious about what we have in the house. And we got rid of TVs in the kids’ rooms and removed makeup from North’s room. And he’s had this epiphany of being…a little bit more strict as a dad and being very forceful on the imagery that’s in the household and what they see.”
Kim also said that being married is an interesting experiment where you remain true to yourself while honouring the other person’s wishes.
She said, “I’m always going to be me. So, we had that discussion and that fight. I think, at the end of the day, that’s what marriage is. He’s going to do things that I don’t agree with and I support him and vice versa. So, with this, we were having this conversation of just what is too much? And, I am a mother of four, like, I am going to be 40 next year.”
The discussion Kim is referring to was showcased on a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashian. Before the Met Gala, where Kim displayed her iconic wet look, her and Kanye had a discussion about her wearing revealing clothes. Kim told him in no uncertain terms that just because he was on his journey towards God, it did not mean she had to be on the exact same journey with him.
Kim also talked on the show about Kanye’s religiosity shaping his parenting. She said, “Just where he has gone in his life and maybe things that he did a year ago, he probably wouldn’t be doing today. And I love that beautiful journey as well and I think that’s a great example for our kids. But, you know, there’s also that fine line of staying firm and doing what you feel comfortable with. And I take a little bit of him and I hear what he’s saying and I totally compromise.”
