Jennifer Aniston Predicts More #MeToo Allegations Will Surface Soon
Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell will star in The Morning Show. The series will explore the dynamics between men and women.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon will be starring in Apple Tv+ new series The Morning Show. The duo recently spoke out against the harassment women face in the acting industry.

Talking to Radio Times, Jennifer Aniston said, ”It’s been a very exciting time and you can see the changes regarding women being objectified, and regarding power and positions of power.”

Adding further, “Incredible things have happened in the past couple of years that were long overdue. And I feel a lot more will come to the surface because people are doing their homework and digging deep into everybody’s underwear drawer.”

The former FRIENDS star also talked about her own personal experience working” in Hollywood. “I’m aware that I have had a pretty easy time in terms of my experience in the business,” she said.

The 50-year-old revealed, “Even back on ‘Friends’, it wasn’t so much about women being paid the same as men – some of the women were being paid more. It was more about, ‘We’re doing equal work and we all deserve to be compensated in the same way’.”

Saying, “I wouldn’t feel good going to work knowing someone was getting X amount and I was getting something greater.”

Her The Morning Show co-star, Reese Witherspoon also said, “Jen and I probably wouldn’t have been able to make this show 10 years ago – but now people are taking [women] more seriously as creators and producers.”

Jennifer Aniston added, “When we pitched the show the #MeToo movement hadn’t even begun so we’ve had to regroup and redirect the show to include all that stuff. We want it to be raw and honest and vulnerable and messy, and not black and white.”

Aniston and Witherspoon are also serving as executive producers on the show. The show will also star Steve Carell.
