Billie Eilish shares her new song from the upcoming James Bond film titled No Time To Die.
The 18-year-old singer has become the youngest person in history to perform a song for the iconic James Bond films. Eilish has released the song ahead of the film’s release in April.
The Grammy Award winner sings, “Was it obvious to everybody else/ that I’ve fallen for a lie. You were never on my side. Fool me once, fool me twice/ How you dare the paradise/ Now you’ll never see me cry/ There’s just no time to die.”
The Bad Guy singer is following in the footsteps of Tom Jones, Madonna, Adele, and Sam Smith. The last two won an Oscar for their Bond theme song.
The news about Eilish was revealed in January on Twitter by the official James Bond page. They tweeted, “The #NoTimeToDie title song will be performed by @billieeilish. Billie has written the song with her brother @finneas and is the youngest artist in history to write and record a James Bond theme song.”
Furthermore, in a statement, the 18-year-old singer said, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”
People are already obsessing over Billie Eilish’s new song. One fan wrote, “everyone who says “Billie Eilish can’t sing she Whispers” needs to re-evaluate immediately.”
While another wrote, “Mesmerising song by Billie Eilish. Her vocals are at their most stunning and the song already gives me Bond feels.”
No Time To Die will star Daniel Craig as James Bond once again. While Rami Malek will play the villain named Safin.
