The event happened on Friday night. It was confirmed to CBS by Mia Edwall Insulander, who is the secretary general of the Swedish Bar Association. The lawyer was shot in a Stockholm apartment complex.

The lawyer represented rapper ASAP Rocky after he got into a street brawl in Stockholm on June 30. However, he was soon replaced by a full legal team.

A suspect was arrested over the crime. Several people were initially brought in for questioning. However, only one was later arrested by prosecutors. The suspect is a woman and a senior lawyer herself. She was previously banned from contacting Lilja.

A witness told Expressen that the shooter is a man who initially fought with Lilja. The lawyer was then shot in the head and chest. The witness reported seeing him conscious. The arrested woman is thought to have been behind the shooting. It is unclear whether the actual shooter is in custody.

The Swedish police confirmed that ASAP Rocky’s former lawyer was shot. They said it is an “isolated incident with no known connection to recent violent crimes.”
